Decision Intelligence for Product Teams

Shorter Loop shows which claims behind a product bet are backed, which are untested, and which the evidence disagrees with. It does not resolve them; the team still decides.

Follow one decision from feedback to outcome

Start a 14-day free trial, no credit card, and walk these six steps with your own feedback. To try them on sample data first, open the demo product from Home > Getting started guide: you can look at every screen and ask Sage up to 10 questions without using your AI credits.

1. The feedback arrives

Items come in through the Feedback portal and connected apps such as Intercom, Zendesk and Help Scout. On the Clusters page, Generate Clusters groups the posts describing the same problem; Find similar on an item flags near-duplicates.

2. The cluster becomes an opportunity

Open the cluster, use Identify more opportunities, then Save Opportunity. It appears in Product Strategy with every original feedback item still attached. The team sets the Opportunity score itself, across Spread, Intensity and Value.

3. The claims get a state

The opportunity's Evidence tab lists the claims it rests on, each showing backed, evidence disagrees, untested, or untested with nothing found. Anything AI drafted without enough evidence behind it carries an Assumed badge, so the shaky parts are visible before anyone commits.

4. A solution is chosen and sequenced

Strategy Builder shows a RICE Score on each solution card next to its evidence chip. Separately, Backlog Prioritization plots epics and features on a value-versus-effort chart, scores each as value divided by effort, and lets you drag the cut lines that record what the team intends to fund.

5. The version states the bet

The version carries a hypothesis and validation criteria written before anything ships, an exposure level, and a point at which assessment starts. The epics, features and stories in scope hang off it.

6. The outcome goes back on the record

After assessment, the team records a verdict — Validated, Inconclusive or Invalidated — answers what happened and what changed in the team's understanding, and picks the next step, such as Continue rollout, Create next Version or Return to Opportunity. Link outcome evidence attaches the sources behind the verdict, and the version's Audit section keeps every change.

Decisions You Can Retrace

Make Product Decisions With Evidence

Shorter Loop checks the claims behind your strategy items against the product's feedback, documents and analytics, and keeps the reason for each decision attached to the item it belongs to. Customer feedback, research, opportunities, claims, strategy, roadmaps, delivery work and outcomes all stay connected, so six months on you can open a roadmap item and see what justified it. For a product team, that is what decision intelligence comes down to: the claims behind each strategy item are checked against evidence again about a minute after you save, and the reason you gave for parking, stopping or reviving an item stays with it. Ask Sage a question about the product and it answers from those same documents, feedback, strategy items and connected apps, showing its thinking process and a Supporting evidence list under the answer.

Portrait of Kinshuk Kale, Founder of Product & Strategy

Kinshuk Kale

Founder, Product & Strategy

Engineer, architect, coach, and product leader. Started Shorter Loop after seeing the same failure repeat from different seats: decisions outliving the evidence they were built on.

Portrait of Dinesh Rawat, Co-founder of Engineering

Dinesh Rawat

Co-founder, Engineering and Technology

Dinesh started building software at the age of 13 and hasn't stopped since. He joined Kinshuk as a co-founder because he genuinely loves building technology that helps people do things they couldn't do before. That belief has kept him working on Shorter Loop through several generations of the product, and AI has opened up an entirely new set of possibilities. He knows virtually every part of the system, from its application architecture to the infrastructure underneath it, and has led the technical evolution of the product as it grew from its original form into what it is today.

Portrait of Devendra Nadh, Head of GTM

Devendra Nadh

Head of GTM

Devendra leads customer discovery, sales, partnerships, marketing, and account management at Shorter Loop. He starts with the customer’s problem, not a script. If the pitch doesn’t fit what the buyer is actually trying to do, he throws out the pitch. He treats sales as a process of listening, learning, and building relationships around problems worth solving .He has little interest in theater. The goal is not to sound impressive. The goal is to make sure the customer can do something they couldn’t do before — and that Shorter Loop can stand behind the claim.

Portrait of Deepika Patial, Founding Engineer

Deepika Patial

Founding Engineer

Deepika is a full-stack engineer who works across Shorter Loop, taking product ideas from early discussions through implementation and into production. Deepika is a full-stack engineer who cares a lot about making software simpler. She has little patience for unnecessary complexity, including when Kinshuk or Dinesh are the ones proposing it. She believes good software should be simple, focused, and do what it promises without making the user work for it. Her love of art shows up in the care she brings to the details, but she will choose usefulness over decoration every time.

Anushka Litoria

Founding Marketing Manager

Anushka is the guardian of Shorter Loop’s messaging, positioning, and voice. She believes companies should write for people, not search engines or AI bots, and that useful communication requires having an opinion rather than repeating what everyone else already says. Everything we publish on this website goes through her, including fact-checking the claims we make. She pushes us to say what we actually mean, and to make sure we can stand behind it.

Krishna Vamshi

Business Development Representative

Krishna is Shorter Loop’s newest teammate and our Business Development Representative. He researches prospects, markets, and product organizations to understand who might genuinely have a problem Shorter Loop can help solve. He joined because he would rather understand a prospect before contacting them than work from a cold script. For Krishna, good outbound starts with doing the homework.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are decision intelligence platforms?

Decision intelligence platforms help organizations make, explain, and improve decisions by connecting data, evidence, reasoning, actions, and outcomes. For product teams, this can include customer feedback, research, opportunities, assumptions, prioritization, roadmaps, delivery work, experiments, and results. Shorter Loop applies this approach to product management: the feedback, claims and experiments behind a decision stay attached to it, and the outcome of the shipped work feeds the next one.
