Story map
Lay out one solution's work as goals across the top, features under each goal and user stories under each feature, then drag stories into release rows to mark what ships first.
Plan product work around real user journeys with Shorter Loop’s user story mapping software tools. Lay out goals, features, user stories and release rows on a solution's story map, keep the work tied to the opportunity it serves, and decide which stories go in the first release. Built for product teams that want clearer priorities, stronger alignment, and evidence-connected delivery.

Organize user journeys, prioritize product work, connect strategy to delivery, and collaborate around evidence-backed product decisions.
Lay out one solution's work as goals across the top, features under each goal and user stories under each feature, then drag stories into release rows to mark what ships first.
Organize epics, refine user stories, and keep delivery work linked to the strategy items above it.
Use a visual Effort versus Value matrix and customizable thresholds to identify quick wins, strategic bets, and lower-value work with greater team alignment.
Build objective-driven roadmaps, connect work to OKRs, and link discovery insights from opportunities and solutions through prioritization, stories, and delivery.
Capture customer problems, evidence, claims, solutions and experiments, so a story map reflects opportunities whose claims are backed rather than untested product ideas.
Keep documents, whiteboards, notes, decisions, objectives, roadmaps, and related product artifacts connected to the work they inform.
If you have just taken over a backlog and nobody has mapped it, start with a single solution rather than the whole product. Open its story map and add the goals a user moves through in order across the top. Under each goal add the features that serve it, and under each feature the user stories. Agree which stories form a coherent first delivery and record the proposed scope alongside the customer outcome. A goal can be turned into an epic, after which the epic opens straight from the goal. What moves into Jira is the work itself, and once it does, Jira owns its status: the sync is two-way, so you are not keeping two boards in step by hand. The map stays behind it as the reason the work exists. For example, in a shift-scheduling product the goals across the top read: build the schedule, share it with the team, handle a change mid-week, and check who actually saw it. Under "share it with the team" sit features such as send a link, invite a teammate, and export to PDF, each with its own user stories. Release row 1 takes send a link and invite a teammate, because together they test whether a second person ever arrives; export waits for row 2.

Founder, Product & Strategy
Engineer, architect, coach, and product leader. Started Shorter Loop after seeing the same failure repeat from different seats: decisions outliving the evidence they were built on.

Co-founder, Engineering and Technology
Dinesh started building software at the age of 13 and hasn't stopped since. He joined Kinshuk as a co-founder because he genuinely loves building technology that helps people do things they couldn't do before. That belief has kept him working on Shorter Loop through several generations of the product, and AI has opened up an entirely new set of possibilities. He knows virtually every part of the system, from its application architecture to the infrastructure underneath it, and has led the technical evolution of the product as it grew from its original form into what it is today.

Head of GTM
Devendra leads customer discovery, sales, partnerships, marketing, and account management at Shorter Loop. He starts with the customer’s problem, not a script. If the pitch doesn’t fit what the buyer is actually trying to do, he throws out the pitch. He treats sales as a process of listening, learning, and building relationships around problems worth solving .He has little interest in theater. The goal is not to sound impressive. The goal is to make sure the customer can do something they couldn’t do before — and that Shorter Loop can stand behind the claim.

Founding Engineer
Deepika is a full-stack engineer who works across Shorter Loop, taking product ideas from early discussions through implementation and into production. Deepika is a full-stack engineer who cares a lot about making software simpler. She has little patience for unnecessary complexity, including when Kinshuk or Dinesh are the ones proposing it. She believes good software should be simple, focused, and do what it promises without making the user work for it. Her love of art shows up in the care she brings to the details, but she will choose usefulness over decoration every time.

Founding Marketing Manager
Anushka is the guardian of Shorter Loop’s messaging, positioning, and voice. She believes companies should write for people, not search engines or AI bots, and that useful communication requires having an opinion rather than repeating what everyone else already says. Everything we publish on this website goes through her, including fact-checking the claims we make. She pushes us to say what we actually mean, and to make sure we can stand behind it.

Business Development Representative
Krishna is Shorter Loop’s newest teammate and our Business Development Representative. He researches prospects, markets, and product organizations to understand who might genuinely have a problem Shorter Loop can help solve. He joined because he would rather understand a prospect before contacting them than work from a cold script. For Krishna, good outbound starts with doing the homework.
User story mapping software helps product teams organize work around a user journey instead of treating the backlog as a flat list. Teams can arrange activities, tasks, stories, and release slices to understand the full experience, decide what belongs in an MVP or later increment, and connect planned work to the opportunity and product intent behind it.
